Description SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for end-to-end development of technical materials such as parts manuals, bill of materials (BOM), operating and maintenance manuals, technical bulletins, work instructions, kit installation instructions and marketing materials. Development includes writing and illustrating by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following; Writes bill of materials (BOM); Writes work instructions; Develops Repair Parts Lists for Harlan Tractors and other equipment Creates and updates illustrations of tractor parts, assemblies and exploded parts breakdowns by importing CAD when available and creating original line art as required Develops complete tractor parts manuals Documents and audits assembly; services procedures; and develops step-by-step written descriptions and photographs Edits photographs as required Writes and illustrates work instructions, job safety analysis, and technical bulletins. Distributes documents on demand to both internal and external customers Familiarizes with the latest ISO 9001 requirements Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned Requirements COMPETENCIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be skilled in the use of: Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Madcap Corel Draw Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires good critical thinking and interpersonal skills Knowledge of office software, organizational abilities and strong attention to detail Have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines. Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects. Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal communication and computer skills Clear and conceptual thinking ability is a plus. Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress is required. Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, professional, outgoing, and customer service oriented. Remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Detail oriented while maintaining an extremely positive attitude. Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.
