Description

VetsEZ is seeking a Technical Writer to support the VA Health Connect initiative, which is modernizing clinical contact centers for the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role is responsible for creating and managing clear, accurate, and user-friendly release notes and technical documentation that support CRM system deployments and updates. The ideal candidate will collaborate across technical, implementation, and communications teams to ensure timely, complaints, and effective communication to the field.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, IT, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing for software, IT, or CRM environments.
  • Skilled in translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proficient with Jira and documentation/version control tools.
  • Excellent written communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and release processes.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience supporting federal clients or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of CRM platforms (Salesforce).
  • Experience with content management systems (SharePoint).
  • Technical writing or Agile certification a plus.
  • Ability to obtain Federal Government clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and publish CRM release notes, translating technical content for non-technical users.
  • Review Jira tickets and technical documentation to identify key updates and enhancements.
  • Coordinate approvals with IT, implementation teams, and government stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Outreach/Communications teams for timely release distribution.
  • Maintain version control and documentation archives.
  • Continuously refine release note templates, content quality, and delivery processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and VA requirements
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.
