This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Technical Writer in the United States. As a Technical Writer, you will play a key role in transforming complex technical and functional information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for diverse audiences, including end-users, developers, and internal teams. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring documentation supports product adoption, user experience, and operational success. This role involves creating and maintaining manuals, API references, tutorials, release notes, and standard operating procedures, while driving consistency across platforms and media. You will also provide input on user interfaces, train internal teams on documentation standards, and participate in usability studies to enhance clarity and effectiveness. This position is fully remote, offering flexibility while allowing you to work within a dynamic, collaborative environment. Your work will directly impact the quality and usability of technical products and customer satisfaction. Accountabilities: · Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, API guides, tutorials, release notes, FAQs, and SOPs. · Ensure all documentation adheres to style guides, industry standards, and internal quality requirements. · Manage content across platforms using content management systems (CMS), version control, and online help tools. · Collaborate with design and engineering teams to improve user experience through interface text and usability feedback. · Train internal teams on documentation standards to promote consistency and quality across published content. · Contribute to defining and refining documentation processes and best practices. · Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Computer Science, or a related technical field. · 3–5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in software, business applications, or highly technical industries. · Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity, conciseness, and accuracy. · Ability to quickly learn and convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. · Familiarity with documentation tools and software (Microsoft Office, screen capture tools, CMS platforms) and basic programming concepts. · Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail. · Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional agile teams. · Preferred: Experience with readme.com or similar version control systems; fluency in Spanish or Russian is a plus. · Competitive annual salary: $72,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience and location). · Fully remote work within the United States. · Flexible vacation policy and paid time off. · Health, dental, and vision coverage. · Opportunities for professional development and skill-building. · Collaborative and supportive work environment with cross-functional exposure.
