TECHNICAL WRITER - SENIOR (COMMUNICATIONS & VISUALIZATION DESIGNER):

On behalf of our Healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Technical Writer - Senior (Communications & Visualization Designer) for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

TECHNICAL WRITER - SENIOR (COMMUNICATIONS & VISUALIZATION DESIGNER) - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role involves working on critical modernization projects, focusing on technical documentation and visual storytelling. The project aims to upgrade current platforms and improve documentation processes to enhance healthcare data interoperability.

TECHNICAL WRITER - SENIOR (COMMUNICATIONS & VISUALIZATION DESIGNER) - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 5+ years of experience in visual storytelling and technical illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Lucidchart, Miro, Visio, Figma).
  • 5+ years of experience with health data interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, SNOMED CT, LOINC).
  • 5+ years of experience in designing accessible and inclusive visual and written content.
  • Knowledge of FIPPA and PHIPA as they apply to healthcare IT solutions.
  • Experience in supporting governance or architecture teams.

TECHNICAL WRITER - SENIOR (COMMUNICATIONS & VISUALIZATION DESIGNER) – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with Health or similar public sector projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Experience with modernization efforts in healthcare IT.
Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and visual content.
  • Support governance or architecture teams by diagramming complex system flows, data structures, and platform interdependencies.
  • Ensure all content complies with AODA standards and is accessible to all users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze technical information.
  • Present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
