Position Title: Technical Writer  Location: Remote (In the U.S) Other Considerations: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Required)  This position is contingent upon contract award. POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a Technical Writer to create, edit, and maintain documentation and instructional materials to ensure clarity, completeness, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards. You will requires a deep understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively to various audiences for a key program with the Department of Veterans Affairs. RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop, edit, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, system guides, and training materials * Collaborate with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand the documentation requirements * Ensure all documentation meets the organizational standards for clarity, accuracy, and completeness * Periodically review and update existing documentation to reflect the latest product updates and industry standards * Participate in design and review meetings to understand product changes and ensure documentation is updated accordingly * 508 Compliance for all work products QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field. Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the required education * Minimum of 3years of hands-on experience in software development * Experience with modern development frameworks and tools * Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Proficiency in technical writing tools and software * Strong attention to detail and excellent grammar and writing skills * Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely WORKING CONDITIONS Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs. Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting.
