QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Aerospace Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional experience in aerospace technical publications, preferably with AMM/FM development.
  • Proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker and Adobe Illustrator (required).
  • Strong understanding of aerospace documentation standards (ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D preferred).
  • Experience creating and managing Service Bulletins.
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems, maintenance processes, and certification requirements.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, and technical specifications.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of SGML/XML-based authoring tools and content management systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory processes for certification documentation.
  • Experience collaborating with engineers, DERs, and regulatory authorities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, revise, and maintain Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Flight Manuals (FM), and other technical publications in accordance with engineering and regulatory requirements.
  • Create, update, and format complex technical documents using Adobe FrameMaker.
  • Develop high-quality technical illustrations, schematics, and graphics using Adobe Illustrator to support written instructions.
  • Draft, publish, and control Service Bulletins (SBs), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with certification standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, certification, and quality teams to gather source data, verify technical accuracy, and incorporate design changes into manuals.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards (ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, or equivalent) and regulatory guidelines (FAA, EASA, etc.).
  • Participate in configuration control and revision tracking for technical publications.
  • Support technical publication audits, customer inquiries, and compliance reviews.
