  • Education: Associates degree in related field, preferred.
  • Experience in a variety of areas of manufacturing operations preferred.
  • Hands on experience as welder, CNC / manual mills, and lathe operator a plus but not required.
  • Detailed understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with a passion for problem solving.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD platform, developing 2D drawings and 3D CAD.
  • Proficient in MS Word, and Excel; SAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to work without supervision.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope and timeline.
  • Effective time management, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • 15-25% Travel requirement between manufacturing locations, possible.

The Manufacturing Engineer supports manufacturing excellence through process standardization and hands-on production support. This role emphasizes product growth and development, process improvement, mechanical problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key driver of standardizing operational processes for excellence in the manufacturing plant.
  • Work with manufacturing team to develop, implement, and use industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire manufacturing process.
  • Documentation, product setups, and test complex equipment and machines.
  • Assists with the optimization of resources to achieve production goals in a cost-effective manner.
  • Works directly with manufacturing supervisors, leads and operators to provide guidance, support, and training to foster a culture of quality and excellence.
  • Supports New Product Development (NPD) initiatives working with design engineering team assisting in product design and testing.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and / or schematics to support manufacturing specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and products. Develops solutions with the manufacturing team.
  • Work with plant leadership to develop and improve prints, drawings, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Uphold and enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Additional responsibilities and projects may be assigned relevant to the position.
