Job Description Job Description: Storage & System Debug Engineer Required Skills & Knowledge Storage Technologies Basic to intermediate knowledge of Storage concepts (HDD, SSD, NVMe, SATA, SAS) Understanding of storage architecture, firmware, and performance metrics Familiarity with RAID, file systems, and storage protocols System Level Troubleshooting knowledge Systems & Platform Knowledge Good understanding of computer architecture and operating systems Experience with Linux and/or Windows systems Knowledge of system bring-up, debugging, and failure analysis Electronics & Hardware Strong fundamentals in Electronics, Digital Systems, and Embedded concepts Ability to work with lab equipment and hardware platforms Understanding of board-level and system-level troubleshooting Roles & Responsibilities Support and sustain storage platforms and systems Debug, analyze, and resolve system, firmware, or hardware-related issues Work in lab environments for system setup, sanity testing, and qualification Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Firmware, Validation, Hardware, IT) Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document issues and fixes Assist in platform bring-up, validation, and release activities Follow defined processes and contribute to continuous improvement Supporting on "100% onsite" physically present at the employer's premises five days a week during regular business hours Preferred Skills (Good to Have) HW rework, Soldering and Lab HW Management and Onboarding Scripting knowledge (Python / Shell) Familiarity with test automation and reporting tools Experience working with enterprise or consumer storage systems Soft Skills Good communication and documentation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: • B Sc., or B.E., or Equivalent • 3-7 yrs experience Additional Information Sandisk thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
