Key Responsibilities Assist technicians with equipment diagnosis, repair, and maintenance Complete the required John Deere University training modules Learn to troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems Gain an understanding of the service department operations and how the dealer business system is utilized Develop skills in the removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of components Perform pre-delivery set-up and inspection of new equipment as needed Accurately document work performed and submit information in a timely manner Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow company policies, processes, and safety procedures Assist with miscellaneous tasks as needed, serving as a utility member of the service team Required Education & Experience High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technician experience required Required Skills & Abilities Strong willingness to learn and participate in the repair process Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment Experience working cooperatively in a team environment Strong written and oral communication skills Excellent organization skills Preferred Graduation from a related diesel technology program Benefits Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) plan with company match Paid time off, including holidays Company-provided uniforms Tool account assistance Paid training and opportunities for career advancement Qualifications Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities A strong desire to learn by listening to others and participating in the repair process Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment Experience working cooperatively in a team environment Strong oral and written communication skills Strong organizational skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly. Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk with the ability to stand for an extensive amount of time. Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. Ability to move or hold arms and hands in small areas, while utilizing tools, feeling for objects, or working with controls for an extensive amount of time. Ability to use tools that vibrate for an extensive amount of time. Ability to climb up and down equipment. Able to sit for extensive amounts of time in a vehicle when travelling. Ability to work in extreme weather/temperature conditions Education and Experience Required Graduation from related diesel technology program preferred High School Diploma, GED or equivalent technician experience required Applicant must pass a physical drug screening and possess a valid driver’s license.
