JOB TITLE: TECHNICIAN – FLEXIBLE TUBES DEPARTMENT

Reporting to: Supervisor
Hours: 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis (36/48/36)
Location: Berry Beccles, London Road, Beccles, Suffolk, NR34 8TS

Job Purpose:

  • To provide technical support to the Supervisor to ensure planned / unplanned work is carried out effectively, efficiently and to the Company and Customer standards at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Tool changing and fault finding on all processes involved in the production of Flexible Tubes.
  • Servicing and preparing Tooling / Printing Plates/ inks etc for tool changes.
  • Carry out quality checks.
  • Basic servicing and cleaning of all machinery and resolving technical issues.
  • Fault finding on machinery.
  • Carry out post production tasks as and when required.
  • Ensure that the work area is safe, tidy and clean during and at the end of each shift.
  • Carry out administration and reporting as necessary.
  • Comply with quality standards as set by the Company.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with current legislation and company procedures, particularly but not exclusively in regard to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment Management.

Essential qualifications, skills and Knowledge:

Desirable

  • A degree or equivalent
  • Plastic Processing Qualification, City and Guilds or equivalent
  • Production experience, setting various machines and tooling.
  • Printing experience in flexographic and/or silkscreen processing
