Description

JOB SUMMARY:

To execute repairs and maintenance of all Materials Handling Equipment including minimal level of failure diagnosis.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • HND or OND in Electrical, Mechanical, or other related Engineering discipline.
  • Technical School Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or other related engineering field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years in material handling equipment industry as technical personnel.
  • A very good operational and technical knowledge of various categories of battery-powered material handling equipment is a major advantage.
  • Routine maintenance of materials handling equipment of various categories.
  • Able to follow technical instructions in interpretation of electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Good knowledge of predictive and corrective maintenance
  • Experience in equipment major and minor parts replacement
  • Equipment failure diagnosis and troubleshooting

    Pay: ₦80,000.00 - ₦100,000.00 per month

Responsibilities
  • To perform various categories of preventive, corrective and proactive maintenance of all forklifts and other related equipment
  • Carry out routine inspections on all assigned materials handling equipment to minimize breakdown and loss of resources.
  • Troubleshooting of forklifts and other equipment failure to timely restore them to standard status.
  • Daily cleaning, charging, deployment, and maintenance of all electric forklift traction batteries.
  • Accurate recording and prompt reporting of all battery charging cycles and usage cycles data daily to keep track of battery performance.
  • Perform safety inspection of forklifts after repair and maintenance prior to being released back into operations.
  • Handle all the parts and components of forklifts in safe manner during repair and maintenance to eliminate damage and consequential failure leading to loss of resources.
  • Strict adherence to all safety standards in discharging of daily activities
  • Maintain a hygiene, clean and tidy work environment including workshop, battery bay and office.
  • Prompt and accurate reporting of preventive, corrective, proactive and breakdown maintenance as well as any other operational and technical activities.
