JOB SUMMARY

The Fire Protection Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems and equipment, including fire alarms, sprinklers, gas suppression systems, and related components. This role ensures compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations to maintain optimal system performance and protect life and property. The technician will also provide troubleshooting support, conduct routine service checks, and prepare service reports as required.

  • Maintain and service fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and gas suppression systems.
  • Analyzing drawings and cause-and-effect matrixes of fire alarm systems and other related electrical systems for the purpose of programming fire alarm systems and interfacing modules with other electrical systems
  • Assist field technicians in troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
  • Prepare reports for incidents, breakdowns, and maintenance activities.
  • Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
  • Prepare proposals for minor projects (A&A works) and coordinate project completion.
  • Maintain reports and documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Monitor and manage fire alarm systems at the Fire Command Centre (FCC)
  • Complying with company EH&S policies, procedures and rules, and any applicable regulatory requirement.
