MAJOR FUNCTION: Non-licensed staff member who, under the direction of a registered nurse, provides physical care and emotional support to patients, while maintaining a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.  In addition, responsible for the clerical and communication functions as needed. QUALIFICATION: Education & Experience: * High School graduate or G.E.D. required.  * Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.           * 1-2 years previous experience in inpatient behavioral health setting preferred.  Certification/Licensure:  * CPR (American Heart Association) required.  * CPI required must be obtained within introductory period. * Psychiatric Technician preferred.
