Key Responsibilities: 1. Vehicle Diagnosis * Perform advanced diagnostics on engine, transmission, electrical, and electronic systems. * Use manufacturer diagnostic tools and scan equipment to identify faults. * Interpret fault codes, live data, and wiring diagrams accurately. * Identify root cause of failures, not just symptoms. 2. Repair Support * Provide clear diagnostic reports and repair recommendations. * Support technicians in resolving complex technical issues. * Verify repairs and confirm fault resolution before vehicle release. 3. Technical Procedures * Follow manufacturer repair manuals and diagnostic procedures. * Ensure all repairs comply with OEM standards and safety guidelines. * Perform software updates, calibrations, and system programming when required. 4. Quality Control * Reduce repeat repairs and comebacks through accurate diagnosis. * Perform final checks on critical repairs. * Ensure high repair quality and first-time fix rate. 5. Documentation * Record diagnostic findings and repair actions clearly on job cards. * Provide detailed reports for warranty and technical cases. * Support technical reports to manufacturer when required. 6. Equipment and Tools * Use diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and special tools properly. * Maintain diagnostic equipment in good condition. * Follow safety procedures when handling vehicles and tools. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Required Qualifications: * Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Technology or equivalent * Minimum 3–5 years experience as automotive technician, preferably in dealership * Experience with diagnostic tools and OEM systems * Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems * Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Required Skills: * Strong diagnostic and analytical skills * Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills * Problem-solving ability * Attention to detail * Good communication with Service Advisors and workshop team * Ability to work under pressure -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Preferred (Advantage): * Dealership experience (OEM certified technician) * Experience with GDI, Turbo, CAN Bus systems * Experience with programming and ECU updates * Valid driving license -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KPIs (Performance Indicators): * First Time Fix Rate * Diagnostic Accuracy * Comeback Rate * Productivity and Efficiency * Repair Quality * Compliance with procedures -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Authority Level: * Authorized to perform advanced diagnosis and recommend repair actions. * Authorized to escalate technical cases to manufacturer technical support.
