The primary function of the Drafter is to create, revise, and update engineering drawings using AutoCAD & SolidWorks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Process and provide manufacturing drawings, details, submittals, and other documents.
• Design and manage drafting projects from conception to completion.
• Creation of 2D AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks engineering documentation including Part Models, Assemblies, and Bills of Material.
• Managing engineering data in a PDM environment.
• Must be able to multi-task and handle several projects in a fast-paced environment, attention to details is critical.
• Use feedback to modify existing designs, use problem-solving skills to develop alternative solutions to unforeseen engineering issues, and keep all completed drafts in a company database for future access and reference.
• Support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company
• Observe applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment
• Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position
• Adhere to appropriate company operating procedures, benefit rules, employment policies and safety policies

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of or working towards an AS degree or 2 Year Technical Degree in Drafting Technology or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution or a Mechanical Engineering technology degree or relevant technical drafting course.
• Completed CAD Parametric modeling Coursework.
• 2 - 3 years’ experience with 3D CAD Drafting using modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Applicant must possess a solid understanding of drafting principles and documentation including BOM generation and usage, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and drawing redlining and revisions.
• High Competency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
