ABOUT Our client is an innovative company in the field of optical communication technologies, headquartered in Luxembourg. To support its mission, the company is seeking a dedicated technician to work under the supervision of a senior engineer, contributing directly to ongoing projects and development efforts. DESCRIPTION As a technician, you will play a key role in the development, assembly, and testing of free-space optical communication terminals and related ground support systems. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and apply both theoretical knowledge and hands-on expertise in electronics and mechanics. RESPONSIBILITIES •Support the testing and validation of free-space optical terminals (e.g., Cyclops-DTE and Cyclops-GT) in collaboration with the engineering team •Perform technical tests and document the results in detailed reports •Contribute to the design, manufacturing, and testing of ground support equipment •Assist in drafting and maintaining assembly and testing procedures •Conduct assembly, integration, and testing of systems •Prepare technical documentation for internal and external reviews REQUIREMENTS •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field •Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a technical role •Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work •Experience with laboratory equipment, laser safety protocols, and cleanroom environments •Background in optical or photonics systems (production, testing, R&D) •Experience with production environments and workspace organization •Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams, or ability to learn quickly •Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English •Proven ability to produce high-quality technical documentation •Reliable, collaborative, and enjoyable to work with •Citizenship of a member state of both the EU and NATO •Competitive Compensation: Including a comprehensive stock options plan to share in long-term success.
