QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Must be a Canadian citizen.
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain a government of Canada secret level security clearance.
  • Must be able to rework printed circuit card and cable assemblies.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER

  • A customer service oriented individual is highly preferred. cooperative, dependable and a creative problem solver. Successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within a team setting.
  • Experience with use of spectrum analyzers, voltmeters and oscilloscopes; and proficient users of Microsoft Word and Excel are highly preferred.

Our Collins Aerospace facility in Ottawa is a world leader in wireless communications networking, with products such as high-data-rate HF/VHF/UHF modems and the Self Configuring Relay Network (SCRN) for ad-hoc wireless networks. Collins Aerospace Canada is developing the next generation of HF radios that support significant throughput improvements and ad-hoc networking features, as well as developing Software Defined Radio networking waveforms for customers around the world. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Executes key tasks including the building, testing and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
  • Support quality inspection activities as required.
  • Performs laboratory functions involving the repair of electronic assemblies and subsystems.
  • Able to utilize schematics, procedures, engineering drawings, and follow written/verbal instructions, including test procedures.
  • Reviews illustration of workflow, routing, floor layouts, or material handling.
  • May assist with operation and configuration of test and demonstration setups.
  • May work under moderate supervision to provide technical support to engineers on a variety of engineering tasks.
