The primary role of the Field Service Technician is to assume responsibility for providing general maintenance on dental equipment, machinery and Office/facilities repairs as scheduled under the direction of the Maintenance Operations Manager. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance on dental equipment and related office machinery Responsible for general maintenance of all property systems (i.e., Electrical Work, Plumbing, Painting, Drywall) Responsible for timely completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned Responsible for alerting the Maintenance Coordinator of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur Ability to administer, respond and complete service requests via use of hand-held device (iPhone, iPad) or computer Carry cell phone as required for on-call maintenance Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled Maintain a professional, courteous manner at all times with dental office employees, vendors, contractors and fellow co-workers Timely and accurate completion of payroll timesheets, Field Service Reports (including accurate billing of hours worked and parts used for services rendered) with timely submission to the Maintenance Coordinator as required, Maintain work vehicle Other duties as assigned by management Some air travel is required, and may involve weekend travel Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1-3 years facilities maintenance experience within the office/commercial setting Field Service Technician must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance. Driver’s license must be verified by completing a background check and motor vehicle record check at the time of hire Field Service Technician are required to timely travel to multiple offices per day, in some cases several times per day, and must have reliable means of transportation to travel to assigned offices In lieu of a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance, Field Service Technician must have reliable means of alternate transportation which would allow for required, timely travel to multiple offices per day, in some cases several times per day Travel may be planned or unplanned and is subject to change without notice Preferred Experience within the dental office setting and ability to work on dental equipment is preferred and compensation will be commensurate with experience Bachelor’s Degree in related field Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Detail oriented, organized, process focused, problem solver, proactive, ambitious, customer service focused Ability to draw conclusions and make independent decisions with limited information Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, staff, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other members of the business community Self-motivated, reliable individual capable of working independently as well as part of a team Possess the intellectual curiosity to work through ambiguity and have ability to work independently with minimal instruction Ability to manage change and do extremely well in a fast-paced environment under time constraints Ability to take initiative and work independently, and work effectively with individuals belonging to all levels within the organization Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference Ability to effectively and succinctly simplify complex data and communicate information to Senior Management Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Tuition Reimbursement 401K Paid time to volunteer in your local community Compensation Information $24.30-$32.90 / Hourly PDS Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
