TECHNICIAN – FIRE ALARM / LOW VOLTAGE SYSTEMS – COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL

We are a growing fire protection and security compliance company providing services to industrial facilities and commercial businesses serving accounts in Northeast Ohio including Cleveland, Akron and surrounding areas.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Technician with experience in commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, servicing, and maintaining fire alarm and other low voltage systems in compliance with NFPA 72, NEC, and local building codes. This role requires a high level of independence, technical proficiency, and the ability to work on active construction sites or in operational facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Looking for an honest, courteous, service minded individual.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience installing and servicing fire alarm and low voltage systems in commercial or industrial settings
  • Working knowledge of national and local fire/life safety codes (NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA)
  • Familiarity with access control, video surveillance (IP and analog), and intrusion systems
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and at elevated heights
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs and working in tight or elevated spaces
  • Personally driven to learn and grow.
Responsibilities

Our goal is to provide services to our customers that provide a safe and compliant workplace to protect their employees and facilities.

  • Install, program, and commission fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial buildings
  • Run, terminate, and label low voltage cabling (access control, CCTV, data, etc.)
  • Perform scheduled inspections and testing of fire alarm and life safety systems according to code
  • Troubleshoot system faults and failures efficiently
  • Interface with building owners, facility managers, general contractors, and electrical teams
  • Document service and installation activity accurately, including test reports and device counts
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and job site requirements, including PPE
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications for complex systems
  • Assist in estimating work scope and material requirements for projects
  • Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and materials on the job
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service as needed
