WHAT’S NEXT? - JOIN THE TEAM AT NEXT HOUSE COPENHAGEN

Do you enjoy solving technical challenges and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes? Then you might be our new Technician at Next House Copenhagen. This position is a part-time position with 5 shifts pr week – 120 hours over 4 weeks.
We’re looking for someone who can join our maintenance team and help ensure our facilities are always functioning at their best – so our guests can feel at home, safe, and comfortable during their stay. It’s important for us that you can work proactive, independently as well as being a team player.
We take special pride in our work culture, and for us it is very important that you fit our team culture of being professional but at the same time, we never forget to have fun.

A Typical Day Could Look Like This:

• You start your day with coordinating the day with our head of maintenance Michael. Then do a morning walkthrough of the building, checking for anything out of place or requiring immediate attention. Making sure that outdoor facilities look up to standard.
• You go through the reported things on the task list prepared from Front of House and speak with housekeeping and the kitchen if they have any urgent issues.
• A guest room reports a leaking sink. You quickly resolve plumbing issues – fixing the leak and ensuring the room is guest-ready again.
• Lunch break with the team or a quick catch-up with the front desk on planned technical tasks for the afternoon.
• Time for light repair work, such as fixing a broken door handle, replacing a broken hairdryer, or adjusting worn-out hinges.
• You’re called to support a colleague with electrical troubleshooting, such as a faulty light fixture in a common area or a fridge that stopped working in the kitchen.
• You assist the housekeeping or event team with setting up equipment or moving furniture for a hostel event.
• Before going home you report back to our head of maintenance with fixed tasked and things that wasn’t resolved. Inform the evening Front of House team if any issues could not be fixed in a guest room, so they can inform the guest.

Throughout the day, you’ll be responsible for documenting tasks, reporting any recurring issues, and coordinating with external contractors when needed.
