The Technician will support the jobsite organization and cleaning, material & heavy equipment handling, and safety support systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to use a variety of construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks Being comfortable to work alongside & assist in operation of heavy equipment Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials Assist Hourigan team and other craft workers as needed Follow and enforce all required Hourigan on-site Safety procedures Participate in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by committing to safe work practices, raising concerns, attending and applying safety and health training, and eliminating hazards within your capability and control and the help of safety staff. Qualifications and Experience: Industry Experience: 1 to 3 years preferred Experience and knowledge of Commercial Construction hazards Physical acuity to perform the following tasks: Ability to individually lift a weight of up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Walking up and down stairs to access different points of the workplace. Standing and walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to provide, operate, and maintain construction tools in a safe and proper manner Fosters a strong desire to learn, welcomes a new challenge, and values the need to collaborate with all team members.
