Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities The successful Technician I (QSI GEO Hydrographic Technician) will be able to transition efficiently from one project to the next and be flexible with regards to the coordination of equipment and personnel across tasks. Lab work on benthic infauna samples (sorting and identification, QA/QC tasks, data entry, maintenance of chain of custody for received samples, laboratory equipment inventory) Field work performing marine biological assessments, under supervision as appropriate. Clean and maintain equipment such that projects can be mobilized efficiently and carried out safely Data management tasks Other duties in support of projects, as assigned Qualifications Professional Requirements and Certifications Bachelor's degree or working towards degree The pay range for this California position is $19 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate.
