JOB DESCRIPTION

NovaSource Power Services (‘NSPS’) is a specialist in providing Operations & Maintenance Services to Solar Plants & Battery Energy Storage Projects, around the world.
We presently manage over 26GW of Utility Solar Projects globally; and are established in Australia to drive a higher standard of O&M to market.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Electrical License (unrestricted).
  • Construction White Card.
  • Current & Valid Driver’s License.
  • Valid First Aid (CPR) & Low Voltage (LV) Rescue.
  • HV Switching
  • Australian Work Rights.
  • Trade Qualification – Electrical.
  • Experience with Data Communications (SCADA, dataloggers, routers)

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willing to travel to other projects, if required

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Operate and maintain key components, such as BOP plant (transformer, switchgear, cables, and substation interconnections etc), BESS monitoring.
  • Maintenance of inverters or associated electrical components.
  • Operate and Maintain back-up power via generator and/or UPS.
  • Work alongside Engineering team on the SCADA monitoring.
  • Promptly respond to alarms and plan/execute necessary repairs of faulty equipment.
  • Interface with, and management of subcontractors and other workers on site, including site inductions, daily pre-start meetings, etc.
  • Reporting to Area Manager and manage planning and scheduling of Annual Maintenance Tasks through Maintenance Procedures (MP) and tracking through the CMMS.
  • WHS reporting and adherence to NovaSource policies, WHS management plans and Emergency Response Plans.
  • Follow guidelines as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Timely documentation of works performed using supplied framework.
    This role is supported by a 24/7 Control Room, and involves working with Solar Asset Managers, Site Technicians and Greenskeeper - Attending to assigned work orders relating to preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, project works.
