Regular Duties / Responsibilities: Check the stability of specimens and confirm receiving. sorting & distribution of sample in the section and on daily, basis according to laboratory protocols. Enter patient's test and data into the computer on daily basis according to laboratory protocols. Ensure smooth functioning of the operations clean the assigned equipment as per the laboratory protocols and schedule provided. Collected store supplies from lab store on weekly basis or as and when required. Inoculate the samples when required, deliver stat slides/samples to concerned technologist for urgent processing as and when required. Check the assigned bench supplies through visual inspection on a daily basis and provide. Information to the charge technologist regarding the consumption levels and requirements of supplies to avoid any delay in processing of specimens. Organize work and keep work area clean on daily basis and as per the laboratory protocol. Discard/Dispose off completed specimens according to sample retention policy and lab safety rules. Any other duty of responsibility assigned by the charge technologist Responsible to collect/draw blood aseptically from sheep's/rabbits in Microbiology section as and when required according the guidance. Assist technologist in embedding of tissues block and microtomy work in Histopathology section as when required. Requirements: Intermediate, pre-medical preferrable. 01 Year of experience at laboratory or a hospital setting is preferred. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
Responsibilities
The technician is responsible for checking specimen stability, sorting samples, entering patient data, and ensuring smooth laboratory operations. Additional duties include assisting in blood collection and histopathology tasks as needed.
