WHAT YOU BRING

  • 7+ years in signage installation or closely related construction/fit-out field
  • Strong knowledge of acrylic, aluminium, stainless steel, resin letters, neon flex, lightboxes, LEDs , power supplies (12/24V), IP ratings, and mounting methods.
  • Can read and translate AutoCAD/Illustrator/shop drawings into practical site steps; accurate site measurements.
  • Solid grasp of WSH practices , Risk Assessment (RA) , Safe Work Procedure (SWP) ; toolbox talk leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with MEWP/boom lift/scaffold operations and traffic/pedestrian management on site.
  • Leadership & communication skills—calm under pressure, clear with instructions, firm on safety and quality.
  • Class 3/3A driving licence preferred.
  • Bilingual (English & Mandarin) a plus for coordinating with suppliers/factories.
  • WSQ certs (e.g., Work at Height, MEWP) and bizSAFE exposure are advantages.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We’re hiring a Technical Manager to lead all on-site installation works and manage our in-house installers and subcontractors. You’ll be the point person who turns drawings into safe, compliant, on-time installations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Plan & lead installations : Site surveys, feasibility checks, method statements, tool & access planning (MEWP/boom lift/scaffold), and day-of execution.
  • Manage people & vendors : Schedule and supervise installers/subcons; conduct toolbox meetings; ensure workmanship quality and productivity.
  • Safety & compliance : Prepare RA/SWP , PTW coordination, WSH compliance, LTA/BCA/landlord requirements; enforce site safety standards.
  • Technical ownership : Interpret drawings (shop/PE/CAD), set-out & leveling, verify structure/anchoring, oversee electrical wiring/LED modules/transformers, perform testing & commissioning.
  • Quality control & handover : Punch lists, defect rectification, as-built documentation, photo reports, warranty registration.
  • Cost & schedule control : Track progress vs. programme, manage variation works, optimize access equipment and manpower costs.
  • Stakeholder communication : Be the on-site face to clients, main contractors, and building management; resolve issues quickly and professionally.
  • Inventory & readiness : Keep installation tools, consumables, and spare parts job-ready; coordinate deliveries and site logistics.
