Summary:
The purpose of this position is to produce, test, and distribute CNC programs (using G-Code) to the production floor
in a timely manner to meet production demands. This position will also maintain all supporting documents, catalogs,
and manuals (using AutoCAD and Excel),along with supporting ongoing engineering projects with assigned tasks
or production data collection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Create and/or modify CNC program for new and existing products using G-Code
  • Analyze fabrication drawings and details.
  • Ability to measure and calculate in metric and standard units.
  • Use of basic CAD software/functions.
  • Work with production supervisors and operators to record videos of process and operations for analysis

and analyze using OTRS software for time standards.

  • Create and maintain instruction manuals, SOPs, etc.
  • Ability to work with diverse group (management, supervisor, lead people, operators)
  • Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and test programs on CNC.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain CNC equipment.
  • Willingness to work 40 hr/week and overtime if required.
  • Assist with yearly maintenance task to production equipment.
  • Safety and quality conscious
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, performs other duties as assigned or required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum high school diploma; Associates degree or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school preferred
  • Proficient in the use of G-Code programming and Excel
  • Basic CAD knowledge, preferably AutoCAD.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • A sense of urgency to act and area ownership is required.

Physical Demands:

perform the essential functions of this job. An individual must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Proper lifting techniques required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, an individual
is regularly required to sit. An individual is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or
hear. An individual is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop,
kneel, crouch, or crawl. The travel required for this position is 15%.
