Description
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:   * Has advanced knowledge of the theory, principles and repairs relating to internal combustion engines, electrical circuits, and mechanical mechanisms applying to the repair of power generation equipment. * Has advanced skills in determining the overall mechanical condition of generators and equipment, diagnose component malfunction and initiates repair actions.  * Systematically analyzes malfunction by visual and auditory examination or the use of test equipment.  * Has the ability and knowledge to perform repairs such as replacing engine heads, engine seals, various engine accessory components and can make engine overhead adjustments. Repairs, adjusts and replaces major assemblies or sub-assemblies such as generator ends, radiators, fuel system components and exhaust system items. * Performs operational inspection and ensures equipment is properly serviced prior to renting.  * Responsible for conducting repairs, services and maintenance on all other types of equipment to include: Light Towers, Fuel Tanks, Transfer switches, distribution racks etc. * Skilled in the use of technical manuals, wiring schematics, test equipment and well versed in the use of computers and all Cummins based diagnostic programs.     * Adheres to all established safety policies and standards. * Skilled and knowledgeable in the use of hand and power tools, shop equipment to include forklifts, overhead lift cranes, welders, cutting and grinding tools and follows proper procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous waste. * Trouble shoot with customers over the phone as needed.   OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:   List any additional functions or duties that may be performed by this position.   1. Perform all duties requested by the manager. 2. Provide quality and timely customer service. 3. Entry level Microsoft Word/Excel/& Outlook. 4. Operate overhead crane & forklift. 5. Able to work with no supervision. 6. Roll wire and pick wire for jobs. 7. Wash and clean equipment before and after servicing. 8. Help load and unload trucks. 9. Rotational assistance to other depots as needed. 10. Rotational on call which may require overnight offshore stays.   
Responsibilities
The technician performs maintenance activities on company fleet and customer-based generator sets and equipment, including inspection, service, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs. They ensure equipment is properly serviced and operational before renting.
