We are looking for a Technician to join our team and support clients with equipment and service that helps them live with greater independence every day. Scope We are seeking a high-level Technician who thrives on complexity. In this role, you won’t just follow a manual; you will be expected to think outside the box to resolve unique challenges in diverse environments. You are a profound troubleshooter who takes total ownership of a project from the initial diagnostic to the final client sign-off. Position Reports To: Branch Manager  Role and Responsibilities/Essential Functions * Manage complex installations (PWC, MWC, VPLs, stairlifts, ceiling tracks) from the moment you leave the warehouse to the final testing phase, ensuring 100% completion without the need for follow-up visits. * Diagnose "grey area" mechanical or electrical failures that lack obvious solutions, utilizing creative problem-solving to restore equipment functionality. * Provide in-store and out-of-store customer service, including assistance with the selection of medical products by customers and liaison with therapist * Deliver equipment and ensure it is complete and in proper working order and instruct customers on how to adequately use the equipment. * Pick up equipment from customer residences, ensuring that all components of the equipment being returned are not damaged. * Inform customers of additional charges if the equipment to be picked up is damaged or requires cleaning. * Attend appointments at the time reserved, contact the office if appointments are running late, and return to the office to perform in-store duties when appointments are complete. * Resolve customer difficulties and build customer relations. * Beyond standard assembly, you will interpret therapist requirements to customize equipment, ensuring the "perfect fit" for complex patient needs * Repair and adjust equipment or coordinate repairs with in-store * Assist with cleaning and disinfection of rental and demonstration equipment * Return equipment to the right location in the warehouse * Ensure all equipment has a barcode and is identifiable with an NSM label. * Assist other technicians when asked, including with delivery of equipment to customers and assist with repairs. * Ensure, in conjunction with other technicians and staff, that the warehouse is maintained in an orderly fashion with all inventory items appropriately cleaned and stored. * Install grab bars in customers’ homes. * Develop continual education through product literature and in-house training on new products and services. * Actively cross-train with the warehouse, sales, and clinical teams to understand the full business lifecycle and provide technical insights that improve overall branch efficiency. * Gain a deeper understanding of funding agencies. Other duties as assigned that include inventory or any other task.
