Description We are seeking a highly capable and self-motivated technician to join our technical services team. In this role, you will work alongside fellow technicians to oversee our projection, sound, and theater technology systems. Together, your team will manage daily projection booth operations, maintain our digital projectors, and ensure our network and software systems run flawlessly. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment, readily shares knowledge, and is comfortable stepping up to document processes and troubleshoot technical issues alongside peers. Key Responsibilities Collaborative Booth Operations: Work closely with the technical team to oversee all aspects of presentation, ensuring the flawless execution of daily showtimes and special events. Maintain Equipment & Systems: Share duties in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Christie CP4230, and other digital cinema projectors, Theatre Management System (TMS) software, and POSitive POS software. Network & IT Support: Apply strong networking principles and general PC skills to maintain connectivity between projectors, servers, point-of-sale systems, and back-office networks. Team Troubleshooting & Support: Act as a key technical point of contact, partnering with teammates to diagnose hardware, software, and network issues quickly. Participate in a shared "on-call" rotation to resolve urgent technical emergencies. Documentation & Training: Help the field by creating, updating, and maintaining clear written technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for other staff members. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with theater management, floor staff, and external vendors to ensure a seamless operational environment. Hands-on experience with Christie CP4230 projectors and TMS (Theatre Management System) software. Experience with POS software. Solid understanding of IT networking principles and general PC troubleshooting. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to work effectively and cooperatively within a team. Organized self-starter with the ability to take initiative while staying aligned with team goals. Ability to translate technical processes into easy-to-understand written documentation for team use. Flexibility to share on-call duties to support operational hours. Safe driver, willing to drive a company van. Preferred Skills (Bonus) While not required, experience in any of the following areas will make you a standout candidate: Experience operating and maintaining Christie, Barco, and NEC laser projectors. Experience with QSC (Qsys) audio software and auditorium sound tuning. Familiarity with Ecna (EPRAD) automation programming and basic electrical understanding. Experience using sound and light meters for auditorium calibration. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with external technical vendors for high-level repairs and troubleshooting. Project management experience. A strong desire and ability to learn new technologies and explore the integration of AI tools within AV or theater operations. POSitive POS Willing to work on ladders/scaffolding when needed.
