Work Schedule: Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, eight hours a day, forty hours a week. Additional hours may be required based on work load and requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY

Work in a fast paced production facility performing semi-routine operational duties, assemblies, and repairs on satellite and other related electronic systems. Produce quality system builds with the highest level of detail in a team environment.

EDUCATION

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

EXPERIENCE

  • Current knowledge of digital satellite television systems and equipment, including telecommunications and internet service connections preferred.
  • General understanding of the basic principles of electronics preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Computer literate in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • General knowledge of how to use a calculator, scanner, copy machine, fax machine, printer, telephone and various standard office equipment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in basic mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying.
  • Primary language used to perform this job is English.

OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work while standing 90% of the time.
  • Ability to lift and carry product and equipment 25 lbs or more.
  • Dexterity to work with small components.
  • Constantly make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Match or detect differences between colors.
  • See details at close range.
  • Detect or tell the differences between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENT(S)

  • Follow defined procedures and processes using various hand or power tools and equipment in order to complete assigned tasks.
  • Assemble, test and repair satellite head-end and hub electronic systems, components, connections, and part assemblies using detailed assembly drawings.
  • Assemble all electronic products and connections required to ensure quality standards by following company procedures.
  • Operate and maintain analog, digital, video, audio and data test equipment and systems.
  • Complete assigned projects within established timeframes set by management.
  • Work on tasks that are somewhat repetitive requiring a high degree of concentration and detail consistently to ensure quality products and customer services.
  • Keep current on parts, equipment, tools and different techniques used to complete various types of builds.
  • Regular and prompt attendance at work is a primary function and requirement of this position.
