Position: Technician Department: Building Maintenance Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm Status: Full-time / Evening / 80 hours per pay Facility: Miami Valley North A General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of repair and preventative maintenance tasks in multiple trade areas including plumbing, basic electricity, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and basic mechanical repair. Customer Service/Breakdown/Setup of facility meeting rooms; Grounds repair and upkeep is also an expectation. Education Minimum Level of Education Required: High School Diploma / GEDHigh School completion / GED Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: 5-7 years of job related experienceyears of job related experience Prior job title or occupational experience: Building Maintenance ExperienceBuilding Maintenance Experience Other experience requirements: General Mechanic or general building repairgeneral mechanic or general building repair Knowledge/Skills Ability to read blueprints Ability to use hand tools, power tools and other specialized instruments Ability to read and interpret instructions, plans, directions, drawings, basic line drawings, simple schematics, work orders, purchase requisitions, and MSDSs. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team, be friendly and courteous to patients, visitors, and staff, be neat in appearance and demonstrate good personal hygiene. Good organizational and problem solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks are essential to job performance
