JOB SUMMARY

Manufactures product as per company requirements under the guidance of a Production Supervisor within a team environment. Production Technician is responsible for the sanitation, set-up, operation and changeover of assigned production equipment and area. Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Documents (SODs), Safe Work Practices (SWPs), company policies and industry regulations. Remains aligned to the Apotex business drivers and core competencies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EducationMinimum secondary school diploma or recognized equivalent.

- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- English comprehension and writing ability to meet Language of Business (LOB) company standards, able to express oneself clearly in English, understand and follow verbal and written work instructions without errors.
- Mathematical ability as per LOB test.
- Able to meet the physical demands in a manufacturing environment
- Able to lift 20Kgs.
- Manual dexterity.
- Team player with a positive attitude for cooperation, communication, respect and flexibility when supporting team members.Manages time to complete assigned tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs all work in support of our Corporate Values of Collaboration, Courage, Perservance and Passion; Demonstrates strong and visible support of our values.
  • Performs all work in accordance with all established regulatory and compliance and safety requirements.
  • Actively contributes in team meetings and other team related activities.
  • Correctly completes all documentation accurately and in a timely manner as per SODs e.g. POMs, Logbooks etc.
  • Notifies Production Supervisor or senior employees of any departure from procedure, component or product defect, safety incident or any other issue.
  • Safely sets-up and operates applicable equipment within operating specifications and provides accurate detail to mechanics regarding equipment problems.
  • Performs changeover of applicable equipment and provides accurate detail to mechanics regarding equipment problems.
  • Performs packaging in-process checks.
  • Operates electronic or computerized control panels
  • Control process start-up, shutdown and troubleshooting. Adjust equipment, valves, pumps and controls and process equipment.
  • Prepare process units or production equipment for maintenance.
  • Loads and off-loads components as required.
  • Performs hand cartoning, shrink-wrap packing when necessary.
  • Operates power lift Trucks to move of material, components, tanks and finished product on the production floor.
  • Cleans all rooms and equipment as per SODs and documents actions in the appropriate usage log books.
  • Performs proper housekeeping, clean-up, disposal of waste components, material and product as per SODs.
  • Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

  • Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
