Description

We are currently recruiting for 2 full-time 6 month fixed term Technicians for our Sample Reception department. AsureQuality has largest Food Testing Laboratory in Australasia, based in Lynfield, Auckland. Our laboratory is open 7 days a week with rosters between 6am and 8:30pm.
This opportunity will involve working either Monday to Friday (12.00pm to 8.30 pm) or Tuesday to Saturday (9.00am to 5.30pm).

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Flexibility to work overtime at short notice is ideal.
  • Good physical fitness, as you will work with the Retention Team moving samples to the allocated areas for Retention storage. This involves a lot of walking and handling samples up to 15Kg on a routine basis.
  • Experience in a food laboratory, retail, hospitality, or production/warehouse environment would be an advantage.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to consistently producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly regulated and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A proactive approach to workplace safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

Adminstration and basic computer skills and used to working in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities
  • Unpacking samples checking sample integrity on arrival.
  • Registration of samples into the Laboratory system.
  • Working in SR’s retention area, which involves Locating retention and disposal of ambient, chilled and frozen samples.
  • Maintaining temperature records and keeping training records up to date.
  • Assisting Customer Service and the Laboratory Technical teams with any queries.
  • Splitting/subsampling samples by applying aseptic techniques for subsampling processes.
