SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a New Zealand Defence Security Clearance by meeting one of the following criteria:

  • A NZ citizen, OR
  • A NZ Permanent Resident who has resided in NZ for the past 5 years OR
  • A citizen of Australia, Canada, UK or the USA who has a current work permit for NZ

You will also be required to undergo pre-employment activities including drug screening and vetting by NZ Police.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an Operator to support the operation of SouthPAN. In this role, you will work as part of a continuous shift team, ensuring the reliable delivery of positioning services while carrying out technical maintenance and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate as a trained and certified SouthPAN Controller/Planner on a continuous shift roster.
  • Conduct Tier 1 maintenance on SouthPAN systems as directed by the Site Supervisor.
  • Provide technical support to GNSS Reference Stations.
  • Contribute to systems improvements and ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) activities.
  • Carry out facility maintenance and other duties as required.
