Join us in shaping the future of aerospace and defense!Job Summary The Technician, Sr. I will support F-35 mixing operations through the use of laboratory and production scale mixing equipment. Must be able to perform routine mixing operations (i.e. weighing of potentially hazardous materials & heavy lifting). Additionally, perform physical/chemical testing of products and use machine shop equipment to fabricate test samples as directed.Job Responsibilities Independently manage workload of day-to-day mix operations to support F-35 work cell. Work under the direction of lead chemist/engineer to prepare essential production mixes that directly support plant operations. Support Quality Control function by performing sample preparation work in machine shop, and sample testing in chemical and physical test laboratories, per laboratory standard practice requirements Occasionally collect and compile data Job Qualifications High School Diploma 2 years of recent experience working with machine shop equipment such as a band saw, drill press, mill, jointer/ planer, hydraulic press, belt sander, hand tools Proven ability to read and interpret chemical and engineering drawings, process specifications, and laboratory test methods Ability to work within a multifunctional team to achieve likeminded goals Basic computer skills with general Microsoft Office knowledge Good communications skills Detail oriented and able to follow work instructions Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment Able to lift - Able to lift up to 50 pounds U.S. Citizenship per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements. Willingness to work overtime and weekends to support production needs, as directed.   Preferred Candidate: College level background in science, math and combined relevant work experience. Desired four-year degree in applied science discipline. Hands-on mixing experience Laboratory and/or production scale mixing experience preferred Aerospace industry experience with an emphasis in general laboratory work desired Familiarity with Machine shop equipment Familiarity with aerospace industry test standards Test equipment knowledge Compensation Data Compensation Range: $74,776.00 - $94,410.00Why Join Us: Work with cutting-edge technology and innovative projects.
