Description
Department of Biomedical Engineering Technician The appointee will be responsible for (a) maintaining computer lab and department’s webserver/firewall; (b) handling laboratory/project administration, development and supervision of student training; (c) overseeing equipment installation/laboratory safety issues, purchase and supporting maintenance of biomedical engineering equipment; (d) providing technical support to the development of experiments and research projects for the research laboratory in biomedical engineering; and (e) performing other duties as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry, Life Sciences and Physics; or related disciplines; (ii) a responsible, mature, effective, and forward-looking work attitude; and (iii) sincerity and good team spirit at work. Having work experience related to laboratory management, safety, and IT would be advantageous. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
