Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Your role as a Technician Trainee- Water is to provide maintenance services to the community’s aging water systems. Our trainee program will last for 3 months, with an opportunity to advance to a Water Technician 1. This role will report to the Field Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employment
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification as required by project locations
- Must be able to walk on various terrain, work in confined spaces, bend, squat and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- You prefer hands-on roles and working outside in all types of weather
- Ability to travel as needed, work weekends and work some nights. Travel is based on project locations.

Responsibilities:
- Collect accurate data and ensure the safe transportation and operation of all equipment
- Provide field services for data collection to assess the condition of main line water valves and fire hydrants using a wide array of technologies and specialty tools
- Maintain clean equipment and toolboxes
- Conduct water main leak detection services
- Conduct repairs on fire hydrants and water main valves
