Job Title: Technician – Weights

Salary: £30,000+ depending on skills and experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

• Educated to GCSE standard or higher
• Previous practical or technical experience in Electrical Systems, Manufacturing, Fabrication, Machining, Engineering or Marine Operations
• Proficient in all Microsoft Applications
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross functional teams

Desirable:

• CAD software experience
• Apprenticeship in Manufacturing or Engineering
• HND or similar in Engineering or technical discipline

• Responsible for physical weighing of systems and equipment
• Supporting Weight Engineers to compile and manage whole boat weight estimates, process data from suppliers and record all findings
• Calculations of mass and centre of gravity
• Using CAD packages to support weight calculations
• Assisting in boat surveys and other activities within the yard
• Attending external supplier sites as and when required
