SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Accounting technology or a combination of certificates or diplomas and relevant experience
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills;
• Bilingualism (French and English), both written and spoken
• Advanced Excel skills

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking to fill a permanent, full-time Accounting Technician position for our office in the East End of Montreal. This role is key to keeping our accounting operations solid as we continue to grow. You will be responsible for critical day-to-day accounting tasks while supporting our leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce, verify and post required adjusting entries to the general ledger
• Prepare various general ledger reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Accounts payable processing – including review, matching and processing invoices for payment
• Processing payments to key suppliers
• Prepare monthly GST/QST filings
• Prepare customer billings and process receipts
• Other ad-hoc projects as we continue to grow and develop
