As a Data Center Technician, you will report directly to the Data Center Manager and play a key role in the daily operations of our data centers across the Montreal region. You will be responsible for the deployment of new customer solutions, inventory management, and ensuring strict adherence to security protocols. A focus on maintaining high operational standards, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices will be essential to your success.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach, a commitment to continuous improvement, and strong customer-facing skills. The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Onsite coverage as a team in shifts and/or weekly on-call
  • Deploy customer IT solutions in white spaces
  • Ensure physical and remote security policies and procedures are being followed
  • Document changes or incidents following the change or incident mgmt. process
  • Perform scheduled walkthroughs and report any issues to the facility manager
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic OS and network level issues
  • Answer customer requests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Install, test copper & fiber cabling with quality
  • Maintain an updated inventory of assets
  • Manage the security access system
  • Assist in documenting best practices & process improvements
  • Interact with third party vendors & contractors
  • Special projects may be assigned.
