SUMMARY:

Gather and analyze business user requirements, help them formulate their needs, and translate them into business processes and/or functional specifications for implementation in different areas of HLNA operations. Work on projects with our internal teams and external partner(s) on implementation and change management. Optimize and improve existing IT tools, processes, and systems, proactively work with development teams, and serve as liaison between business and IT implementation. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):

  • Works with management to determine resource requirements, forecast, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Responsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation and training and developing associates.
  • Analyzes system or application usage and plans for growth or increases in server and Desktop capacity.
  • Ensure quality and achieve excellence in customer support and services.
  • Leads development projects for new major enhancements and performs functional design and unit testing as needed.
  • Writes programming code using RPG 4 and Angular software tools on the IBM I-Series hardware.
  • Mentor junior to mid-level associates with application, technology, business process and tools as needed
  • Provide level 2 support for production issues as requested.
  • Perform annual and semi-annual performance reviews of associates
  • Work different shifts and weekends as required
  • Perform Managers role as required during sick, vacation or out of town business occasions. This includes attending meetings, creating presentations and acting as an escalation point for personnel and business issues.
  • Assist with budget and financial related information gathering for hardware and take active involvement of learning and reviewing the remaining budget
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing potential associates when requested.
  • Own all Audits from a delegation perspective ensuring all participants deliver what is assigned and present results to Auditors

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)

Required

  • 5+ years of experience working on Supply Chain application
  • Experience leading Information Technology related projects that include multiple resources in multiple roles
  • Competent in the automotive industry
  • BA/BS in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft products.

Preferred

  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) & Yard Management System (YMS) knowledge
  • Honda Global Production Control System (GPCS) experience or other production ordering systems
  • Knowledge in data analysis utilizing tools such as Python, SQL, or other applicable applications
  • Ability /proven record of developing customer-forward data/analytics packages (Large Data sets on short notice)
  • Knowledge in research development
  • Project management knowledge

Work Environment:

  • Work will primarily take place in an office environment
  • Exposure to a warehouse/production environment
