Responsibilities

WHAT ARE THE KEY OBJECTIVES AND EXPECTATIONS FROM THIS ROLE?

The Senior Technologist Analytical role is chiefly responsible for the execution of assigned tasks using laboratory equipment and expertise across a range of projects and activities within the New Categories product development to support the delivery of the commercial vision of a product in the R&D pipeline.

WHAT IS THE DIRECT IMPACT OF THIS ROLE ON THE TEAM OR ORGANIZATION?

This role will utilise knowledge of New Categories lab methodologies for Vapour, THP and Modern Oral products and broad scientific principles to assist product development in prototype screening. The role provides analytical data and technical interpretation to guide decision-making in product and technology development.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • To lead assigned projects and activities within the Analytical team based on an agreed plan across a portfolio of projects and activities.
  • Work closely with the Analytical Quality Growth Manager to implement and plan the testing of products in the New Categories R&D pipeline within the required time frames.
  • Hold lab expertise in operating the required machinery/testing capabilities such as smoking engines, GC-FID, HPLC, LC MS-MS, Karl Fischer etc.
  • To have awareness of standard methodologies and compliance using technical knowledge and broad scientific principles to ensure effective delivery of appropriate tasks.
  • To understand testing activities, methodologies, and equipment capabilities to carry out assigned duties to fulfil project needs
