Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior IP Verification Engineer specialized in PCIe verification to join our design verification team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive verification strategies for complex digital IP blocks, ensuring functional correctness and performance compliance before tape-out. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop comprehensive verification plans and testbenches using UVM methodology for PCIe Gen6 PHY and Controller (not limited to) Create reusable verification components (UVCs) including agents, monitors, drivers, and scoreboards Design constrained-random stimulus and coverage-driven verification strategies Debug RTL issues, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with design teams Develop and maintain regression test suites and coverage metrics Mentor junior engineers on UVM best practices and verification methodologies Review and improve verification infrastructure and coding standards Contribute to IP-level and SoC-level integration verification Qualifications REQUIRED: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field 12+ years of experience SKILLS: Expert-level proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM methodology Extensive experience in PCIe Gen6 PHY and controller verification, including PCIe compliance closure using 3rd-party PCIe VIP. Strong understanding of verification methodologies (constrained-random, coverage-driven, assertion-based) Hands-on experience developing reusable UVM testbenches and verification IP Proficiency with simulation tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) Experience with AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, and APB). Strong debugging skills using waveform viewers and simulation tools Experience with coverage analysis and closure (functional, code, assertion) Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl, shell) PREFERRED: Experience with formal verification and low-power verification Understanding of SoC-level verification flows AI/ML Familiarity: Experience with or interest in utilizing AI-based tools (e.g., Github Copilot) to assist in coding, script generation, or automating verification workflows.
