Salary: Technologist Grade 1 with a Salary Scale of €41,996 to €79,618

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Level 8 degree (as recognised on the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent), in Chemistry, Food Science or a related discipline.
• OR
• Be enrolled in a Level 8 Degree course in the above referenced disciplines at the time of application, with the qualification awarded at the time of job offer**
• ** Offers of employment to those whose application is successful will be dependent upon receipt of confirmation of the award of the essential qualification.
• A postgraduate degree and/or research experience in Chemistry would be a distinct advantage
• Experience in method development with analytical instruments such as HPLC, UHPLC, MS, GC, IC.
• Experience in residue analysis by LC-MS/MS.
• Experience in analytical instrument troubleshooting.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

• Organisational skills, report writing, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of Analytical Chemistry.
• Statistical analysis, method validation, and experimental design.
• Quality in experimental work.
• Proven record of scientific communication.
• Aptitude for multi-disciplinary approaches.
• Experience in a food testing laboratory.
