Job Description We are seeking an accomplished Platform Software & Firmware Technologist with deep expertise in system architecture, validation, low‑level storage technologies, and kernel/software stack integration. In this role, you will play a vital role in next‑generation storage systems that span device firmware, kernel subsystems, filesystems, system software, and application‑level abstractions. You will collaborate with cross geo teams for emerging storage technologies and shape how new device capabilities integrate seamlessly across device, library, application, and appliance deployment models apart from validating the same. This is a highly technical, hands‑on leadership role with global visibility and impact. If you enjoy solving complex system challenges, designing future‑ready storage stacks, and working at the intersection of hardware and software—this role is for you. Required Qualifications Advance experience in platform software, firmware architecture, Validation, kernel subsystems and storage technology. Strong hands‑on expertise in: C, C++, and/or Python Linux kernel, block layer, I/O stack, and filesystem internals BIOS/UEFI, board firmware, and low‑level system software Storage protocols (SATA, SAS, NVMe, ZBC/ZAC, SMR technologies) Demonstrated ability to design and implement large‑scale system architectures. Experience optimizing performance, reliability, and data layout in distributed or high‑performance storage systems. Qualifications B.E / B.Tech /M.E/M.Tech - E.C.E/CSE/IT Contributions to Linux kernel or major open‑source filesystem/storage projects. Experience with zoned storage, shingled drives, variable capacity devices, or next‑gen HDD/SSD architectures. Background designing abstraction layers or APIs for device‑to‑application integration.
