THE ROLE

Are you ready to shape the future of technology procurement in a purpose-driven organisation? At Southern Housing, we’re looking for a proactive and analytical Technology Buyer to help us optimise our supply chain, strengthen software supplier relationships, and support our technology strategy with precision and purpose.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of software supplier data management, contribute to budget planning, and assist with operational monitoring. You’ll lead on timely renewals, terminations, and due diligence, while identifying opportunities for improvement across our supply chain. Your software licensing knowledge will help us stay ahead of market trends and navigate commercial decisions with confidence.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Maintains information on the IT departments Supplier & Contracts Management Information System (SCMIS) using a broad set of Microsoft 365 Applications
  • Supports commercial partnerships with a range of suppliers ensuring we maintain positive relationships and value for money from our supply chain.
  • Assists IT Commercial Leadership with BAU spend against budget throughout the financial year. Ensuring discrepancies are highlighted and where necessary escalated for review.
  • Supports the Forecasting process alongside the IT Leadership Team and Finance
  • Manages and supports the procurement processes associated with Technology across Southern Housing – includes the ordering of software and, as required, hardware and related technology goods and services
  • Provides management information and assists with the development of new dashboards showing key supplier metrics
