POSITION OVERVIEW

The position requires supporting the setup, installation, maintenance, and business-as-usual (BAU) operations of Kubernetes environments especially AWS EKS. The primary products involved are Amazon EKS on AWS, EKS Anywhere, and OpenShift. A strong Linux background is essential, as well as experience with DevOps tools. The respective consultant must be having working experience in implementing trading and financial instrument applications on container environment. The role requires to be hands-on AWS EKS Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of a Kubernetes-based container platform in a regulated, enterprise environment. This is a customer-facing role requiring a deep understanding of Kubernetes, AWS, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code practices.

EXPERIENCE

  • Total 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management services
  • Total 8+ years of relevant experience in Kubernetes/EKS architecture, including setup, installation, and maintenance.
  • Strong experience with Amazon EKS, EKS Anywhere, ECS, Fargate, openshift, and Kubernetes networking
  • Proficiency with Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, FluxCD, Jenkins, GitLab CI.
  • Familiarity with security tools like Aqua, Prisma, and IAM.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS networking components.
  • Understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework and compliance needs.
  • Strong background in Linux system administration.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins and Git.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM tools and processes.
  • Experience in working in infra projects with BFSI customers.
  • Experience of global delivery with offshore/ onsite model.

MANDATORY SKILLS

  • Linux systems administration experience.

QUALIFICATION

  • Must have bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT/ engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Must be AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  • Must be Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Must be Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
  • Good have ITIL certification.
  • Must be trained in ITSM tools, process, remedy, service now, jira, confluence, sharepoint.
  • Must have certification on Linux operating system
Responsibilities
  • Setup, install, and maintain Kubernetes clusters using EKS on AWS, EKS Anywhere, and OpenShift.
  • Perform regular BAU operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Kubernetes environments.
  • Provide recommendations for improving Kubernetes infrastructure and processes.
  • Ensure high availability and scalability of Kubernetes clusters.
  • Manage and maintain Linux systems as part of the Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
  • Create and maintain documentation for Kubernetes environments and processes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders.
  • Perform estimation, provisioning, and documentation tasks.
  • Work in close coordination with application and other infrastructure teams.
  • Coordinate with principle vendor for the incidents and support.
  • Well verse with ITSM tools and processes.
  • Drives continuous improvement and value adds.
  • Establish relationships with customer / business units with technical knowledge and solutions.
  • Design and architect highly available and secure Amazon EKS clusters following AWS best practices.
  • Drive end-to-end implementation including setup, configuration, scaling, monitoring, and governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
  • Integrate observability and monitoring tools.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Manage container lifecycle, upgrades, and disaster recovery.
  • Mentor teams on Kubernetes best practices and operations.
  • Manage the security controls on container including third party integrations.
