What does the Cheekwood Technology Team do? At Cheekwood, The IT department serves as the organizations’ digital backbone, ensuring the seamless, secure and reliable operation of all technology. On an everyday basis, they manage the core systems for staff, from e-mail and financial tools to specialized collections management databases and public facing ticketing POS systems. Critically, they are responsible for the safety and security of the organizations’ digital assets and visitor data by implementing cyber security measures, performing regular data backups and managing network access to protect sensitive records, research and financial transactions. What will you be doing? The Technology Coordinator will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, maintaining computer systems and peripherals, and helping to ensure the smooth operation of all technology-related functions. The Technology Coordinator will report to the Director of IT and work closely with other members of the Senior Team and staff. This position will play a critical role in supporting our mission. This is an entry-level position. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provide basic technical support to end-users and would be “remote hands” for other engineers and vendors. Maintain and update computer systems (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS), printers, and other peripherals essential to business and mission functions. First-contact support for phones, access control, CCTV, and IoT devices. Work with IT vendors to identify and resolve technical issues. Perform light audio-visual work for meetings and events. Provide documentation for technical issues and solutions. Assist with the adoption of and provide training to end-users on new technologies and software. Ensure the security and integrity of all computer systems and data. Support the Director of Information Technology and IT vendors with all security programs, procedures and protocols. Assist with the development of policies and procedures related to technology use. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and software. Provide training to end-users on new technologies and software. Work closely with the IT director and vendors on projects and deployments. Provide triage and troubleshooting for outages and incidents. Appropriately escalate issues identified from end-users and / or IT vendors to the Director of Information Technology. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support role Excellent communication skills and ability to work with end users. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems as well as iOS/iPadOS. Experience with Microsoft product, Entra ID, Intune, and Autopilot Knowledge of networking and security protocols Scripting experience is a plus (PowerShell, Python, Bash) Work Schedule This is an onsite position with a typical work schedule from Monday-Friday.
