We have an opportunity for a Technology Delivery Lead to join our Customer360 domain and provide leadership to the technical release train function across the entire Customer360 technology stack. As part of our wider Products & Services Technology area, you’ll work on a strategic colleague platform which supports a range of important customer outcomes across Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Lending origination delivered through a diverse set of technologies. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with the Head of Platform – Customer360, and they let us know the following about the role. What are some of the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Release Train Management: Plan, schedule and co-ordinate the Customer360 regular releases including programme releases, integration deployments, Salesforce and nCino seasonal releases and external release dependencies with other tech domains. Release processes and continuous improvement: Ensure the programme team is set up for success in all deployment and release activity including complying with BNZ ITSM processes for change management and supporting post release incident/problem management. Find and execute opportunities to demonstrably improve delivery effectiveness, quality and velocity. Leadership and Collaboration: Participate in Domain Leadership Group to ensure Tech priorities are included in delivery. Support Platform owners, Stream leads, program technical leaders and other domains to unblock issues and clear pathways for safe and effective technical delivery. Risk management: Ensure risk lens is applied to all delivery and deployment activities so stakeholders can make informed prioritisation and go / no-go decisions. What is the team culture and environment like? An experienced and high performing group of Engineers, Business Analysts, Testers and Administrators working within a wider program team across four companies and three countries. You’ll be leading a participating in a technical leadership team composed of Engineering Leads, Platform Owners, and Principal Engineers. The existing environment features people who are focused on colleague outcomes, stay cool in a crisis, and like to meet high-standards of quality in everything they do. What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year? The Customer360 programme is building a strategic asset using global SaaS platforms, combined with modern integration tools and patterns, covering CRM Sales, Service and Lending origination. The vision is a single plane of glass for colleagues to operate from for these key customer journeys. The program is three years into the journey with many foundations in place, and there is plenty ahead on the roadmap as we embed the Lending experience, support the Core Ledger Replacement programme and evolve and iterate existing and new capability. What technical skills are required for this role? We are looking for a strong understanding of the NZ banking /finance industry, ideally with engineering and technical knowledge. You will also bring proven experience in: Technology Release Train Management Stakeholder Management across all levels Strong incident/problem management Vendor Management Participating in and improving organisational planning rhythms What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
