Job Details Level: Management Job Location: HB PAL - PALMYRA, MO 63461 Education Level: Bachelors Position Summary: The Technology Director/Network Director is responsible for the strategic direction, reliability, security, and operational excellence of the Bank’s network and core infrastructure services. This role leads planning and execution of network modernization initiatives, ensures resilient and compliant operations, manages technology-related vendor relationships, and develops a high-performing team to support growth and regulatory requirements. The position also oversees day-to-day network administration, infrastructure management, and supports regulatory audits and examinations. Duties and Responsibilities: Network & Infrastructure Own the network and infrastructure roadmap aligned to business goals, risk posture, and growth requirements. Define architecture standards for connectivity, segmentation, resiliency, and performance across all sites and environments. Establish lifecycle planning for infrastructure platforms, including refresh planning and end-of-support risk management. Design network interfaces and routing protocols; evaluate and maintain network performance. Operations, Reliability & Performance Ensure availability and performance of critical infrastructure services. Implement and support operational monitoring, observability, and KPI reporting. Lead incident response for infrastructure outages, including root-cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions. Troubleshoot network problems and perform upgrades, including configuration, testing, and deployment. Security & Risk Management Partner with Information Security Officer to enforce secure network design principles. Develop and maintain network access control standards and privileged access practices appropriate for a regulated environment. Secure network by developing access control profiles and monitoring network activity. Support audits/exams by maintaining evidence, documentation, and operational controls related to infrastructure. Engineering, Change & Documentation Oversee network design, configuration standards, change control, and release management for infrastructure upgrades. Maintain accurate network documentation (topologies, standards, IP address management, circuits, dependencies, runbooks). Drive standardization and automation to reduce manual configuration and operational work. Leadership & Management Lead and mentor assigned technology staff; establish clear expectations, training plans, and performance goals. Manage technology-related vendor relationships including service performance, contract renewals, escalations, and roadmap discussions. Contribute to the budgeting process each year for technology related expenditures. Serve on the Technology Committee and coordinate with all departments for improved efficiency. Project Management Lead infrastructure projects from concept through delivery: scope, schedule, risk, communications, and operational handoff. Present updates and recommendations to leadership and committees as needed. Coordinate cross-functionally with internal audit, compliance, security, operational teams, and other stakeholders. Requirements & Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Technology-related field or equivalent required. Experience in regulated environments and supporting audits/exams. Familiarity with cloud connectivity, hybrid networking, SD-WAN/SASE concepts, Zero Trust principles, and modern access control approaches. Familiarity with network automation/scripting (e.g., infrastructure-as-code concepts, configuration automation, API-based workflows). Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco CCNA, Cisco UCS, and Storage Area Network (SAN) experience a plus. In-depth knowledge of technology systems and proficiency in managing servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and related equipment/software. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Symantec & Cisco AMP & Group Policy. Significant experience in Microsoft Office 365, specifically Teams and SharePoint is a plus. Ability to maintain a working knowledge of internal policies and procedures related to the job. Physical Demands & Work Environment Ability to lift/move items over 30 lbs; occasional climbing. Ability to work in confined areas and sit at a computer terminal for extended periods. Moderate noise (business office with computers, phones, printers, light traffic).
